The ingredients will speak for themselves

Ashleigh Feltham (MNutrDiet)

The next time it is pizza night make sure you use this recipe. The ingredients will speak for themselves and will satisfy your taste buds. The addition of the more unconventional topping of Safcol tuna will make this pizza a standout. Tuna as a quality protein source has the benefits of being a great source of iron which allows oxygen to be transported around your body, vitamin D which supports your immune function as well as helping with calcium absorption. One final highlight is that tuna is a source of choline and vitamin B12 which are essential for a normal functioning central nervous system.

Garlic will help keep the vampires away as well as help your immunity with its immune-supporting antioxidant allicin. The extra virgin olive oil will help with fat-soluble Vit D absorption. Olive oil is a heart-healthy oil which also supplies over 36 different antioxidants!

The cheese will add to the protein your body needs to repair and create new cells in your body. Cheese is also a good source of iodine and selenium which support thyroid health.  Cheese is a great source of calcium which is vital for your muscle contraction and strong bones and teeth.

The tomatoes have their own unique antioxidant called lycopene which supports the health of your heart and for the gentlemen, your prostate. The extra virgin olive oil will enhance the health benefits of the tomatoes.  The basil leaves are the perfect finish to this pizza and also add their own array of antioxidants which fight off free radicals which can cause damage and disease to the cells of your body. This is one pizza recipe you will want to bring out again and again.
